Fielder
Scheduling software concept for field service teams, from UX flows through to a working prototype for dispatchers and technicians.

The problem
Field service dispatchers were assigning jobs over group texts and a whiteboard, with technicians finding out about schedule changes only when they called in.
Our approach
Ran the design phase around two roles with opposite needs: a dispatcher's day view for assigning and rearranging jobs, and a technician's simple mobile queue for what's next.
Wireframed and prototyped in Figma first, testing the drag-to-reassign flow before writing a line of application code.
Built the working prototype in React with a Node.js backend, focused on the assignment and status-update flows rather than every peripheral feature.
Designed status changes to sync in near real time, so a technician marking a job complete updates the dispatcher's board immediately.
The outcome
The prototype demonstrates a scheduling flow that removes the group-text back-and-forth entirely: dispatchers assign from one board, technicians see their queue update live.
